YEAR ONE
- kyra started her first year at hogwarts together with her cousin nadine. (her older cousin chelsea was a fifth year, their other cousins jude and vivian started their third year and kyra's maternal cousin kaito was a second year.)- she got sorted in slytherin, just like jude had been. not much of a surprise for jude, whose father came from the house of serpents. kyra's family, however, was entirely made out of ravens and lions. slytherins were never much liked, thus formed a voice in her head. 'you are a bad person'- sadie brown, mina harker and kyra wedgwood share a dormitory in the slytherin dungeons. within the first week, she had found a lifelong friendship in the two, and a calming love for the lake water hitting their window.- kyra's first year went by pretty ... friendless. she only connected with sadie, and mina (who had already been honoured the title of twin-flame)- she thought harry and his friends were so cool, but they didn't quite feel the same way about her. you know... their hatred for slytherins and all.❛ There, in the corner of the library, sat Kyra Wedgwood, quietly getting lost in her book. It had come to Harry’s attention that the first year didn’t have many friends, nobody seemed quite fond of her. ❜- within the first two weeks, kyra discovered her love and passion for defence against the dark arts, leading her to succeed marvellously in the subject during her entire school career.- draco malfoy terrified her. falling victim to the blood-purist minset of him and his minions sounded like a nightmare. so she, with muggle blood and all, made sure to avoid them the best she could.- that nagging feeling about being a bad person got worse as the year went on. houses and backgrounds were never really given a second thought as kyra was younger, but through the year, society caught on. kyra realised that even though she didn't care, everyone else made the worst assumptions about her just because of her house.- she realised that no one really cared for her. her housemates didn't , because she was generally friendly with everyone else, and everyone else didn't like her because of her house. there was no winning in this game.YEAR TWO
- kyra’s younger brother, river, started his first year at hogwarts when kyra’s second year began. river got sorted into gryffindor, just like the long line of wedgwood family members. their maternal cousin rina also started her first year.- after the winter break of their second year, kyra returned to school entirely different.- realising that her innocent friendly self didn't really work in her favour, kyra decided to build a wall around herself and change. the new kyra was sarcastic, closed off and most importantly, not scared like she used to be. this didn’t change much for the students of other houses, who'd still rather stay away from her and any of her housemates. but this did however, wake up newly found respect from her fellow serpents.- when the chamber was opened, kyra’s curiosity peaked. she tried to do her own little research to find out what was going on, but didn’t find much, so she just let it rest.- with draco being part of the quidditch team this year, she makes the choice to try out the next year, believing that she is a way better player than him (she is), and therefore having a chance at being selected.- however, kyra does start training on her own, to make sure she’s in the best shape to try out in her third year. its this year that she starts hanging out on the quidditch field, often towards curfew. even when the weather is completely horrid.- when draco summoned that snake during their demonstration for lockhart’s defence against the dark arts, kyra had to leave the room (even though dada is her favourite (and best) class).❛ It seemed strange to Harry that a girl, sorted into the house of serpents, had the bigged ophidiophobia of any person he had ever met. How could a Slytherin be afraid of snakes? ❜- kyra didn’t really believe the rumours that were going around about harry being the slytherin heir and petrifying all those students. but since her own research of the chamber didn't end up revealing anything, she didn’t really care about it all that much.- when harry and ron drank their polyjuice potions and turned into crabbe and goyle, they came across kyra in the common room and acted awfully friendly to her. it left the girl very confused, since the latter pair normally barely acknowledged her.YEAR THREE
- when kyra’s third year began, river started his second and liam his first. her youngest brother also got sorted into gryffindor.- when sirius escaped from azkaban, the entire wizarding world was on edge, including the wedgwoods. even though kyra’s parents knew him, they too thought he was a murderer, so the wedgwood children were urged to be very careful.- kyra befriended draco this year. this new friendship acted like some sort of protection spell. other slytherin students finally accepted her as one of them, all while the glares from other students increased.- on their first hogsmeade trip, kyra spent a lot of her time wandering around the village, but mostly found herself at her best friend mina’s house.- kyra joined the quidditch team as a chaser this year. (a natural talent)- during a match, she got into a nasty slip in the rain and injured her wrist and ankle, which caused her to stay the night at the hospital wing.- to ensure their children’s safety, oliver and ramona wedgwood let their children stay at hogwarts during the christmas holidays.❛Harry watched as , suddenly , a large snowball hit the back of Draco’s head. “ Oy , loser ! ” , yelled Kyra. “ Come on then , let’s play. ”❜- just like kyra, rémy sinclair also joined his respective quidditch team this year. the two quickly became friends, often going out onto the quidditch pit to train together. much to kyra's pleasure, he officially became her first non-slytherin friend.- in the DADA classes, she took a liking to professor lupin, her love and interest in defense against the dark arts growing significantly this year.YEAR FOUR
- this is kyra’s fourth year at hogwarts, river’s third and liam’s second.- with kyra being insanely fanatic when it comes to sports, the same thing was done for the triwizard tournament. her fanatic side brought her closer with cedric diggory, helping him with his tasks as much as she could.- this year, kyra was very disturbed by professor moody’s way of teaching defense against the dark arts, causing her to get worse grades than she did in her previous years, but still not completely abandoning the class.❛ “Sometimes I think Wedgwood and Harker are joined at the hip,” mumbled Ron. The pair were, indeed, always together. Like Crabbe and Goyle, but prettier. ❜- when the students were taught to dance, kyra had an absolute blast.- kyra attended the yule ball with rémy sinclair, after they both figured out they might as well just go together instead of alone. 't was a night full of fun, that she will remember fondly for an eternity to come.- when cedric diggory died, kyra went into a state of shock, followed by a terrible grieving process that lasted for weeks. a loss she never really got over. how could it be that everyone else moved on, but she remained stuck in his loss?- unlike everyone else, kyra believed harry when he claimed voldemort had returned. why else would cedric be dead?YEAR FIVE
- this is kyra’s fifth, river’s fourth and liam’s third year at hogwarts.- kyra immediately hates umbridge with her entire soul,

and now that she teaches her favourite subject, she’ll be worse at it then ever.- kyra would appear with fresh scars on her limbs nearly daily. the punishments were a result of skipping classes and spending almost all of her time in the common room on her own. she'd much rather be locked away, than deal with umbridge as high inquisitor.- she dated rémy sinclair for a week or so, before they both decided they were better of as friends.❛ The explosion caused Kyra to finally wake up from her slumber, gaining Snape’s attention. “Nice of you to join us, Miss Wedgwood. Detention for you.”, spoke Snape irritated. ❜- hogwarts was not the same it used to be, and kyra despised it. so during the holidays, she begged her parents to stay home and not finish the school year. surely they'd so mercy?- but kyra was sent back to school anyway, and so she locked herself back in the slytherin common room.- naturally, it goes unnoticed when students start disappearing in the middle of the hall. so when draco tells her about dumbledore's army, it takes her a while to believe him.- once she does, however, she realises she was kept entirely in the dark. kyra hated umbridge too. why did they not ask her to join? she realises that her house would forever stand in the way of being seen as a decent person.- upset and hurt by this, she doesn’t attempt to hold draco back from snitching on them. kyra's there with him when umbridge catches the army in the act. the final nail in the coffin though, is when, in between of all the rubble and students, she spots her two brothers, and the pale blonde hair of mina harker.- finding out they kept it a secret from her, strains her relationship with all three of them.- even though umbridge becoming headmaster made kyra insanely miserable, she started to pay more attention to her classes and overall become a better student. what else could she really do after losing the three most important people in her life?- sadie and draco were the only lucky pair of people she spoke to near the end of their fifth year. usually very chatty kyra became a shell of herself. quiet and distant.- the summer between fifth and sixth year was a rough one for kyra and her brothers. they barely talked or spent time together, until their parents sat them down at the end of the summer and they made up.YEAR SIX
- this is kyra’s sixth year at hogwarts, river’s fifth and liam’s fourth.- it took oliver and ramona some convincing from their three kids to send them back to hogwarts. they had witnessed the first wizarding war and known the mayhem it caused, so sending their children away when voldemort was back ... wasn't easy.- as usual, kyra was sat in the cart with draco, when harry used the instant darkness powder to ... do whatever it was he did. when they arrived at hogsmeade, she didn't really blink an eye when he told them to go on without him. but when harry walks into the great hall with his face covered in blood, she does start questioning some things.- however, at school everything seemed to have gone back to normal, so kyra continued school with love.- mina and kyra made up in the third week of school.- over the weeks, her worries about draco grew stronger. his odd behaviour was so unlike him. when he returned from hogsmeade (after he accidentally cursed katie bell) as pale as snow, with eyes full of hitting agony, her worries peaked.❛ “You ready to lose, Weasley?”, questioned Kyra with a mouth full of toast. It was clear that the girl was a tad bit too excited for the game today. Ron replied with a huff. “Have fun playing with your cheating team, Wedgwood.” ❜- christmas wasn't the same this year. while the wedgwoods worried about their safety, kyra spent most of her holiday worrying about her friend. a breaking point was reached when she heard about the malfoy's annual new years party, so she attended. the entire evening, however, was spent with draco on he roof of the malfoy manor, the smell of firewhiskey and the cold winter breeze around them. for a moment, everything seemed to have gone back to normal.- back at school, kyra feels at ease again. but that too, does not last long. she's sat at a table in the great hall when she spots draco run out of it, followed by harry, right after katie bell woke up. she doesn't think twice before completely abandoning her breakfast to run after them.- but her chase seems hopeless, she's lost track of them and the sound of their footsteps. about to give up the chase, kyra rounded a corner, and found herself stepping into a puddle of water coming out of the bathroom.- with all senses on edge, her feet rushed her into the flooded room. a scream escapes her body when she sees harry potter stand over draco's blooded body. in a state of panic, she pushes him aside, trying to stop the bleeding, holding onto her friend. it feels like an eternity until snape walks in and tells her to leave.- up until this point, kyra never really had any ill feelings towards harry. but from this day forward, harry potter was dead to her.- she sat with draco at the hospital wing the entire time he laid there, though she wouldn’t admit it to his face. (this is also, unbeknownst to her, the last time she ever sees him)YEAR SEVEN
- kyra’s seventh, river’s sixth and liam’s fifth year.- unlike last year, the wedgwoods unanimously decided that the three children should go back to hogwarts. no matter how dangerous, it would have arguably been safer than being at home.- 'keep your head low and mind your business', her parents had told kyra. but watching the injustice around her and staying silent wasn't an option to her. so she spoke up against the carrows. she spoke up to protect her classmates.- obviously, this ended up with her getting punished by them a lot, arguably just as bad as seamus finnigan had been.- this time, kyra was invited to stay with the other kids in the room of requirement. her acts of bravery had finally helped them understand that kyra was never someone to hate. finally being liked and respected, made the tortures she was going through just a bit more bearable.- during winter break, the siblings didn't go home.- it's when harry came back to hogwarts though, that she actually started being afraid. how couldn't she? the boy was a walking target.- kyra absolutely did not agree or appreciate that she was locked up in the common room with her housemates. it seemed horrendous to her that a group of children could be locked up in the dungeons when a war was on it's way.- after yelling at the door for what seemed like ages, while all her housemates minded their own business, kyra and mina found a way to escape the room.- they said their goodbyes and agreed to meet back within an hour, after they went to look for their respective families.- kyra searched for a long while, not coming across any of the people she was looking for, until she set eyes on river. the brunette had never been happier to see anyone. now knowing her family was safe, kyra went back to look for mina.- when her hazel eyes finally caught sight of the pale blonde heads of mina harker and draco malfoy, holly rosier suddenly appeared right in front of her.- holly rosier, her housemate, the girl she spent seven years avoiding, blasted an avada kedavra curse her way within the blink of an eye.- both mina and draco watched it happen.❛ A blinding flash struck, a scream followed. Both girls dropped to the floor. One in death, and the other in grief. Kyra Wedgwood was dead, and Mina Harker lost everything. ❜kyra wedgwood died at eighteen years old.
